Week 10 Fantasy Football Sleepers

Nick Foles dressed up as Peyton Manning for Halloween, Zac Stacy dressed up as Adrian Peterson and Tom Brady dressed up as well Tom Brady from 2012. What a crazy fun week of Fantasy Football, watching the games over the weekend made me realize why the NFL is the greatest sport in the world. Just any given Sunday any team can step up and beat any team, now this isn’t always good for Fantasy owners but always fun to watch for sure. Looking ahead to week 10, there should be some great Fantasy plays this week but before we dig into Week 10, let’s take a look at how I did in week 9.

Sleepers that made me look good

Zac Stacy – 178 total yards/ 2 TDs – Stacy just torched the Titans D this weekend, looks like he is a must start moving forward.
Emmanuel Sanders – 6 catches/ 98 yards – Well next to Cotchery his game wasn’t special but provided good value for those who started him.
Timothy Wright – 4 catches / 58 yards / 1 TD – The Bucs have themselves a TE; Wright has another great matchup ahead of him in week 10

Sleepers that made me look bad

Jake Locker – 195 total yards/ 1 rushing TD/ 2 INTs – Two poor INTs hurt what could’ve been a solid fantasy game by Locker
Dexter McCluster – 2 catches for 9 yards – Was a risk play and just burned me this week.
Ryan Matthews – 34 yards – He saw limited snaps in this game and had zero Fantasy impact this week.
Oakland Raiders D – Nick Foles happened.

Week 10 Fantasy Football sleepers (Patriots, Jets, Chiefs & Browns)

Jake Locker vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

Well I really thought he was going to be money this week against the Rams and he just didn’t do that. He didn’t need to do too much as the running game just shredded the Rams run D. The Jaguars aren’t much better against the run; actually they are giving up a full 3 PPG more than the Rams to Fantasy RBs. So the Titans could take advantage of that and run the ball a lot again, but let’s also factor in that the Jaguars are giving up 19 PPG to Fantasy QBs as well and 3 rushing TDs (Locker rushed for 2nd TD of the season against the Rams) to QBs. I like Locker this week to limit the mistakes and take full advantage of this terrible Jaguars D.

Eli Manning vs. Oakland Raiders

Oakland had been pretty good against Fantasy QBs this year until Nick Foles decided to toss 7 TDs on them. Manning and the Giants are coming off a bye after two straight wins, Eli was in the two wins threw 1 touchdown and failed to throw an INT in either game for the 1st time all season. Manning is a solid sleeper this week and has top 10 potential with this matchup.

Mike James vs. Miami Dolphins

Hello Mike James, the Seattle D had given up only 151 total yards rushing in weeks 5-7 and in week 8 they gave up 173 to the Rams and this week 158 to just Mike James. James ran hard and looked great. Well this week comes a great matchup for him against the Dolphins, a team fresh off giving up 310 yards and 4 rushing TDs over the past two weeks. James is a great sleeper and if you have Charles, Ridley or Ivory on a bye, he is a great pickup.

Pierre Thomas vs. Dallas Cowboys

Keep an eye out for Darren Sproles as he suffered a concussion this week against the Jets, if he is out Thomas goes from a sleeper to a Must Start. In Sproles absences, he totaled 90 yards (in PPR leagues he had 7 catches as well) the Cowboys are giving up 17 PPG to Fantasy RBs and have given up 2 rushing TDs in back to back games. Thomas is a great play this week.

Golden Tate vs. Atlanta Falcons

Tate saw his lowest amount of targets in a game since week 2 (3), he did catch-all 3 targets but only went for 29 yards. The Falcons are just a hot mess right now on both sides of the football, coming off their 2nd straight blowout loss. Tate should have no problem finding his groove in week 10 against a terrible Falcons secondary.

Riley Cooper vs. Green Bay Packers

I sure they heck didn’t see the performance we got out of Cooper or Foles in week 9 but they lite up the Raiders and connected on 5 passes for 139 yards and 3 TDs. Cooper has 5 or more targets in each of his last 4 games and has 80+ in 3 of those 4 games. The Packers have done good against the pass over the last two weeks (Monday Night game not included) only given up 12 catches for 124 yards to opposing WRs but that was against the Browns and the Vikings, Foles is better than Campbell and Ponder. I don’t think Cooper will come close to his numbers last week but will be a good enough spot start if you are missing anyone on a bye this week.

Garrett Graham vs. Arizona Cardinals

Graham is a hard guy to figure out; when Owen Daniels was healthy he had 3 straight games with a TD. He has yet to find the endzone in Daniels absence and just hasn’t been very good, it’s not like he isn’t getting the targets (14 in the last two games) he just isn’t doing much when he is getting the ball. Lucky for him this week he faces the worst team in the NFL against opposing Tight ends, the Arizona Cardinals. They have given up 8 TDs to fantasy TEs and with the focal point of this offense surrounding André Johnson and Deandre Hopkins, Graham should find himself with plenty of opportunity to find the endzone.

Timothy Wright vs. Miami Dolphins

With Rob Gronkowski and Jordan Cameron on a bye, I think this week I need to throw 2 fantasy TE sleepers in the mix for week 10. Wright was targeted 4 times last week and caught all 4 passes including 1 for a touchdown. He is only the 2nd TE to score on the Seahawks all season, Wright has now scored in two straight games and faces a Dolphins team giving up an average of 10 PPG to Fantasy TEs. I love this matchup for him and if he is available and if you have one of the two stud TEs on a bye, he is definitely worth the start this week.

New York Giants vs. Oakland Raiders

After starting the season 0-6 and giving up an 35 PPG to opposing teams, the Giants D have gone back to back games only giving up 7 points. In week 8 against the Eagles, the D actually didn’t give up a point but we all know in Fantasy doesn’t matter how the other team scores it still gets dedicated from your point total. But the Raider have to travel across country after a beat down in the hands of the Eagles, I look for the Giants fresh off the bye to continue their defensive success and would be a great streaming option for week 10.
