Week 1 Fantasy Football

Must Start

Andrew Luck vs. Oakland Raiders

Luck is in line for a monster season and it starts against a terrible Oakland team. They gave up an average of 355 yards per game through the air. Luck is a strong QB1 this week.

Stevan Ridley vs. Buffalo Bills

In 2 games vs. the Bills last season, Ridley rushed for 204 yards and found the endzone 3 times. The Patriots ran it 523 times last season and could run the ball even more this season. Look for Ridley to start off 2013 with a monster game.

Steven Jackson vs. New Orleans Saints

The Saints ranked 32nd against the run last year and the Falcons brought in Jackson to bring a more balanced approach to the team. Jackson will reach over 100 yards and multiple touchdowns this week.

Daryl Richardson vs. Arizona Cardinals

Richardson comes into week 1 with the starting RB job for the Rams. If he plans on keeping it for longer than one week he is going to need a big game against the Cardinals. This is a good week for him as he faces a sub-par Cards run D. Richardson will be a solid RB2/Flex and is a must start this week.

Dwayne Bowe vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

This will be the coming out party for the Smith/Bowe combination. Bowe is a must start and will be a top 5 play this week.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. New York Jets

Any team facing the Jets is a must-start every week until further notice. The Bucs are the 1st team up against them and NEED to be starting this week.

Must Sit

Sam Bradford vs. Arizona Cardinals

This week Bradford could have a really good week or a really bad week. I am not willing to take that risk.

Chris Ivory vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Bucs were the #1 ranked Run D last season and Ivory isn’t good enough to overtake that. Ivory and every other Jet should be on the bench this week.

Danny Woodhead/Ryan Matthews vs. Houston Texans

They’re facing the Texans on Monday Night Football and today will not be good for either guy. Keep them out of the lineup this week.

Torrey Smith vs. Denver Broncos

Smith will be heavily targeted because some of the injuries on D for the Broncos but I think you will be better off with Smith on the bench this week.

St. Louis Rams D vs. Arizona Cardinals

Rams D will probably finish in the top 10 to end the season but I just don’t like this start this week against the Cardinals. I think the Cards are going to come out firing and it won’t be to good for the Rams D.
