Week 11 Fantasy Football Must Start/Must Sit

Week 10 is in the books and we are in the fast track to the Fantasy Playoffs which is kind of sad considering that means the NFL/Fantasy season is almost over. Week 10 was good to me for the most part but the Bernard/Bell combo surprised me taking advantage of a tough matchup. Week 11 will be great but before we jump into that let’s see how I did in week 10.

Starts that made me look good

Russell Wilson – 307 total yards and 2 TDs
Robert Griffin III – 325 total yards and 3 TDs
Maurice Jones-Drew – 74 total yards and a TD
TY Hilton – 7 catches 130 yards
Antonio Gates – 4 catches 62 yards
Arizona Cardinals D – 21 points/3 sacks/1 TO/1 TD

Starts that made me look bad

Fred Jackson – 62 total yards
Keenan Allen – 4 catches 41 yards

Sits that made me look good

Matt Ryan – 172 yards and 1 TD
Jason Witten – 2 catches for 27 yards
Larry Fitzgerald – 3 catches 23 yards
Anquan Boldin – 3 catches 23 yards

Sits that made me look bad

Gio Bernard – 95 total yards and a TD
Le’Veon Bell – 96 total yards and a TD
Green Bay Packers D – 27 points given up

Week 10 Fantasy Football Must Start (Bye weeks: Cowboys and Rams)

Case Keenum vs. Oakland Raiders

Keenum has been so impressive over the last few weeks (7 TDs/0 INTS over 3 weeks) and has been in each game this year. He is defintley fighting for at least a look at the starting QB job for 2014 but we are talking about now. Keenum has one of the better matchups against the Raiders this week who have given up an average of 265 yards and 2 TDs to opposing QBs this year. The Raiders just aren’t very good on defense and Keenum will show just that on Sunday.

Russell Wilson vs. Minnesota Vikings

Wilson has been on fire as of late throwing 10 total TD over the past 4 weeks and right now he sits in the top 5 of all Fantasy QBs this year (Yeah didn’t see that one coming). He has been so good and now he is getting his shiny new toy Percy Harvin in the mix, he is going to be great throughout the Fantasy playoffs. This week he faces the Vikings who are just terrible against the pass and I expect him to finish in the top 5 this week.

Danny Woodhead vs. Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins have given up 20 or more points in 3 straight games which include 5 rushing TDs. Woodhead leads all RBs with 53 catches this season and has been used on 3rd down situations for the Chargers. If you own him in PPR he is a must start every week and this week I would start him in any league.

Alshon Jeffery vs. Baltimore Ravens

Jeffery is becoming a solid WR2 since week 4 and he provided a 9 catch 114 yard performance against the Lions last week. The Ravens are going to shift a lot of their focus on Brandon Marshall and that will bode well for Jeffery this week. He needs to start this week and for the rest of the season.

Pierre Garcon vs. Philadelphia Eagles

Garcon is 6th in the league in receiving yards with 803 and has posted back to back 100+ yard performances. Garcon is the #1 target in Washington and faces an Eagles D that has a secondary that is easily exposed.

Antonio Gates vs. Miami Dolphins

The tight end position has been pretty bad this year and Gates has surprised me in his ability to be Fantasy relevant again. This is pure gut here with the Dolphins having shut down their last 5 opponents TEs. I would go with Gates regardless this week.

Kansas City Chiefs Defense vs. Denver Broncos

The Chiefs D has carried Fantasy teams across the board and don’t think they should stay away because Peyton Manning is coming to town. I would start them this week especially with Peyton’s ankles not 100% and the Chiefs can get to the QB. They will force Manning to make mistakes and I am a firm believer in starting them this week.

Week 10 Fantasy Football Must Sit

Andrew Luck vs. Tennessee Titans

I feel like this matchup will go one of two ways for Luck, he will bounce back and destroy the Titans after a miserable performance against the Rams or he will go out and face a tough Tennessee Titans Pass D and have a mediocre performance. I am going for part #2, the Titans have given up 1 passing TD in the last 5 weeks and that’s impressive considering they have faced Alex Smith, Colin Kaepernick and Russell Wilson in that time frame. Luck will struggle and you should only start if you have no better options.

Tom Brady vs. Carolina Panthers

So last time I had him on this list he went out and torched the Steelers for 432 yards and 4 TDs. So factor in that and he is coming off a bye and the Patriots are so good after bye weeks but this time he faces a Carolina Panthers team that has been very good over the past 5 weeks. They are on a 5 game win streak and opposing QBs are having a hard time against them averaging only 7 Fantasy Points per game. Brady could prove me wrong and I wouldn’t be surprised if guys like Keenam, Glennon and even Tannehill have a better week.

Fred Jackson/CJ Spiller vs. New York Jets

It doesn’t get much better than the New York Jets run defense, they have yet to allow over 100 yards to anyone this season and have held opposing Fantasy RBs to single digit point totals in 3 out of the last 4 games. Jackson has been good this year but hasn’t found the endzone in the last 2 weeks and Spiller still isn’t 100% and hasn’t been great this year. Neither guy is worth a look this week.

Maurice Jones-Drew vs. Arizona Cardinals

Jones-Drew has posted solid numbers in 3 out of his last 4 outings but is facing a Cardinal run D that has given up 77 yards rushing in the last two games. This is going to be a low scoring slugfest and MJD should be planted on the bench.

Cecil Shorts vs. Arizona Cardinals

Shorts is only catching 53% of his targets this season and unless you are using him in PPR formats has been pretty bad in standard leagues. He should draw Patrick Peterson this weekend and that is not good news for Shorts owners. Bench Shorts and even drop him in shallow leagues.

Steve Smith vs. New England Patriots

Steve Smith will see Aqib Talib on Monday Night and that isn’t good news for him. Smith hasn’t found the endzone since week 7 and has yet to reach 100 yards receiving this year. Not a good week to have him in the lineup.

Garrett Graham vs. Oakland Raiders

Graham has been a huge disappointment since the injury to Owen Daniels. The Raiders have been pretty good against TEs this year and Graham is just not rosterable anymore. Find other options.

New York Giants D vs. Green Bay Packers

This is enticing matchup for the Giants this week as they have scored a defensive TD in 4 straight games. But Scott Tolzien is coming to town!!!!!! Okay that was kind of a joke. Green Bay didn’t look that bad last week with Tolzien at the helm and a full week of practice I can see them scoring some points and not making the turnovers needed to start the Giants. Don’t fall for the trap and leave them on the bench.

Week 10 Fantasy Football Must Start/Must Sit

Week 9 was a return of a Future Hall of Famer (Tom Brady), a record-breaking game from an unusual candidate (Nick Foles) and we saw Aaron Rodgers go down with what looks like an injury that will keep him out for a while. Some big games as we inch closer to the Fantasy Football playoffs but before I give you week 10’s Must Start/Must Sit, I take a look how I did in week 9.

Starts that made me look good

Cam Newton – 271 total yards and 2 total TDs – The 2 INTs hurt him a bit but was still a great play this week.
Philip Rivers – 341 yards and 2 TDs – Rivers is becoming a QB1 week by week.
Chris Johnson – 170 total yards and 2 TDs – Took advantage of a great matchup and looked completely different this week than any week earlier.
Eddie Lacy – 150 yards and a TD – Slowly but surely making him a top 5 option for 2014.
Jared Cook – 3 catches 36 yards and a TD – I had a gut feeling he would reach the endzone and he did.

Starts that made me look bad

Stevie Johnson – 5 catches 36 yards – Just wasn’t a factor.
Terrence Williams – 2 catches 33 yards – The TD streak comes to an end and was upstaged by Beasley and Harris.

Sits that made me look good

Pierre Thomas – 88 total yards – Didn’t find a lot of running room but did benefit from Sproles getting hurt in the 1st half.
Marvin Jones – 4 catches 66 yards – After scoring 4 TDs he was held to 4 catches.
Scott Chandler – 3 catches 26 yards – Chandler is a mediocre fantasy option with spotty QB play for the Bills.
Indianapolis Colts D – Case Keenum looked great and torched the Colts for 3 TD passes.

Sits that made me look bad

Tom Brady – 432 yards and 4 TDs – The one week he decides to show up is the week he goes out and kills it.
Lamar Miller – 129 total yards – Sadly a fumble cost him a very good game but let’s hope that doesn’t cost him in the coming weeks.
TY Hilton – 7 catches/121 yards/ 3 TDs – One of my biggest blunders of the season. He looked great and moving forward a great fantasy option.

Week 10 Fantasy Football Must Start (Bye Week: Browns, Jets, Patriots and Chiefs)

Robert Griffin III vs. Minnesota Vikings

Thursday games have been tricky this year and really haven’t been great for Fantasy players but this matchup you really can’t pass up. The Vikings are giving up 4th most Fantasy points to opposing QBs and have only picked off 1 pass in the past 4 games. While RGIII has been a disappointment over the last two weeks, he will take advantage of this good matchup and is a must-start this week.

Russell Wilson vs. Atlanta Falcons

Wilson led the charge after being down 21-0 to the Bucs and came back to win the game 27-24 in OT. He did so with 3 total TDs and that is 8 touchdowns in 3 games. Wilson to me isn’t a QB1 each week but this week he is a must start against a reeling Falcons team.

Maurice Jones-Drew vs. Tennessee Titans

Did anyone watch what Zac Stacy did to this Titans run D last week? I sure they heck did and although Jones-Drew might not have those young legs that Stacy does, he is fresh off a bye and the healthiest he has been all season. Jones-Drew should have no problem finding running room this week against the Titans and should be in all lineups.

Fred Jackson vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

So which is more of a surprise, the Steelers rank as 5th worst team against opposing RBs or the fact that Fred Jackson is in the top 10 of all Fantasy RBs this year? I would have to go with the latter; the Steelers aren’t getting any younger and were just torched by the New England Patriots on the ground. I would expect to see a lot of Fjax/Spiller this week especially if we see Manuel come back this week. Great matchup, great start.

TY Hilton vs. St. Louis Rams

I ate some serious crow last week by having him in my Must Sit piece last week and recommending to Sit him to just about anyone that asked. Well you won’t fool me this week Mr. Hilton, you are in my Must start against the Rams.

Keenan Allen vs. Denver Broncos

Over the last 4 games Allen has 26 catches for 417 yards and 3 TDs. He is Rivers go to target no matter where they are on the field. The Broncos pass D hasn’t been that great this week and if the Chargers plan to compete with this high-octane offense of the Broncos, these two are going to have to connect on a ton of passes.

Antonio Gates vs. Denver Broncos

The Broncos have given up 9 or more Fantasy points to tight ends 6 times this year. Gates is coming off 4 consecutive performances with 7 points or less. I like Gates this week as I expect we will see a ton of passing this week.

Arizona Cardinals D vs. Houston Texans

The Cardinals are 3-1 at home this season in those 3 wins they are giving up only 13 PPG. They face Case Keenum who is coming off an impressive 3 TD performance against the Colts. Rookie QB in just his 3rd start (2nd on the road) against a solid D, give me the Cards D all day long.

Week 10 Fantasy Football Must Sit

Matt Ryan vs. Seattle Seahawks

You have to feel bad for Matt Ryan this year. He got his 1st victory in the playoffs and the Falcons added him a good running back and this team was poised for the Super Bowl. Injures to Julio Jones, Roddy White and Steven Jackson has made this season miserable for him instead. He faces a tough Seattle D and is coming off back to back single point Fantasy outputs. An easy must sit.

BenJarvus Green-Ellis/Gio Bernard vs. Baltimore Ravens

Good lord I predicted the Ravens would go to the Super Bowl for the 2nd straight year. I think I have cursed these guys as they sit 3-5 and 2 and half back from the Bengals. One thing they have been good at is stopping the run though. If you can find better options to start this week I would.

Le’Veon Bell vs. Buffalo Bills

Bell has back to back double-digit Fantasy performances but faces a tough Bills run D. Bills have only given up one rushing TD and give up only 12 PPG to RBs. I don’t like this matchup for Bell this week.

Larry Fitzgerald vs. Houston Texans

The Texans pass D only gave up 2 TDs to opposing WRs since week 1 and last week TY Hilton gave them the business catching 3 of his own. But I don’t like this matchup for Fitzgerald. I know he is a hard guy to sit down but if you have better options I would go that route.

Anquan Boldin vs. Carolina Panthers

This game is huge for the Panthers and I think they have all the tools to step up and make this a good game. They have to start with shutting down Boldin and they have done a great job at shutting down opposing teams WR. They haven’t given up a TD to opposing receiver since week 2. Boldin should be on the bench this week.

Jason Witten vs. New Orléans Saints

The Saints have been great against TEs this season giving up single-digit points in every game but one. Witten had his best game since week 5 against the Vikings but I don’t think he will have much success this week. The Tight End pool is fairly weak and you may have to start him but if you have a solid back-up I would think about starting him instead.

Green Bay Packers D vs. Philadelphia Eagles

No Aaron Rodgers will not bode well for the Packers D and against Chip Kelly’s offense they are going to be on a the field a lot. What seemed to be a good matchup a week ago isn’t that way now.

Week 6 Fantasy Football Must Start/Must Sit

I had my best week yet with my Start/Sit recommendations. This week there is some pretty tough matchups as well as some big stars on a bye week. With the likes of Matt Ryan, Julio Jones, Tony Gonzalez and Mike Wallace on a bye, starting the right waiver pick up of back up is key this week. But before I dig into week 6, I take a look back at week 5.

Starts & Sits that made me look good

Phillip Rivers – Although he threw 3 INTs, he still passed for 411 yards and 2 TDS
Eddie Lacy – He didn’t reach the end zone but still managed 99 yards on the ground.
Maurice Jones-Drew – He didn’t exactly light it on fire on Sunday but rushed for 86 total yards.
Desean Jackson – He shredded the Giants D like expected and stat line looked like this 7/132/1
Julius Thomas – Cowboys can’t stop TEs, period. Thomas had 9 catches for 122 yards and 2 TDs
Carolina Panthers D – They were good not great but very serviceable if you streamed them.

Daryl Richardson – RBBC is in full effect in St. Louis, he had 43 yards on Sunday.
Anquan Boldin – 2 catches for 21 yards even though 49ers scored 34 points.
Nate Washington – He had a rough outing against the Chiefs catching 3 passes for 30 yards
Denver Broncos D – They got hit for 48 points and 506 yards through the air to Tony Romo.

Starts & Sits that made me look bad

Marques Colston – 2 catches for 15 yards, 2 CATCHES FOR 15 YARDS!!!!!!!!!!!

Andrew Luck – I thought he would be a bad start against the Seahawks and boy was I wrong. He threw for 229 yards and a pair of touchdown passes.
Jason Snelling – In PPR he was a stud with 13 points and in standard he had 8 which isn’t bad for a spot start this year. (Also left the game with an injury)

Week 6 Must Starts (Atlanta Falcons  & Miami Dolphins are on a bye)

Andrew Luck vs. San Diego Chargers

He was on my Must Sit last week and now he is on this week Must Start. He faces a Chargers team that is giving up 25 PPG (10 TDs & 1 INT). He impressed with a great game against the Seahawks, this week much easier matchup with the big bright lights of Monday Night Football.

Robert Griffin III vs. Dallas Cowboys

Opposing QBs are having a field day against the Cowboys, averaging 24.8 PPG (15 Total TDs). Griffin has been good, not great so far this year. He has a great matchup coming off a bye to get him and the Skins rolling again.

Demarco Murray vs. Washington Redskins

The Redskins have given up 511 yards and 4 TDs to RBs in 4 games this year. Murray has been healthy and running really well this season. He is averaging 4.8 YPC and a combined 5.6 yards per touch this year. Murray is a great start and an easy must start for week 6.

Doug Martin vs. Philadelphia Eagles

Martin has let down a few owners this year with his sub-par performances. I have seen him traded for next to nothing. It’s going to be tough for him to find running room with teams filling the box with 8 players. But a good RB will find running room and Martin is just that. I think they will find ways to use him in the passing game and even with Glennon at QB, he will torch a terrible Eagles Run D.

Torrey Smith vs. Green Bay Packers

Smith is averaging 8+ targets per game and taking full advantage of them as he reached 80+ yards in every game this season. The Packers got lucky not having Calvin Johnson in the lineup last week but they are giving up 26 PPG and 6 TDs to WRs. Flacco should have no problem finding his main target against the Packers.

Greg Jennings vs. Carolina Panthers

Jennings had his best outing of the season against the Steelers in week 4; he caught 3 balls for 92 yards and 2 TDs. I like Jennings more with Cassel at QB this weekend than I do with Ponder at QB. So this recommendation is more so along the lines with Cassel at QB. But the Panthers D has been solid this year but I would start Jennings as a great bye-week play.

Josh Gordon vs. Detroit Lions

I don’t care who is playing QB in Cleveland, they know that they are going to have to get the ball to Gordon. The Lions have given up 964 yards and 3 TDs to WRs this year, Gordon should have a field day on Sunday.

Vernon Davis vs. Arizona Cardinals

Davis has touchdowns in 2 straight games, the Cardinals have given up 4 to tight ends this year. Kaepernick hasn’t been great but he has to rely on Davis to get him through this tough divisional matchup.

Kansas City Chiefs vs. Oakland Raiders

I think this is a no brainer here; the Chiefs are playing some of the best D in football. They are going to have their hands full with Pryor but they should have no problem shutting them down this week.

Must Sits for Week 6

Terrelle Pryor vs. Kansas City

Pryor has been a nice matchup start this year but this is a week to have him on the bench. QBs are only averaging 11 PPG against the Chiefs; they also have given up only 4 TD passes in 5 games and have forced 7 INTs. Pryor is too young and inexperienced to handle a good team like the Chiefs, keep him on the bench this week.

Phillip Rivers vs. Indianapolis Colts

Rivers is going to have to throw and we have seen even in losses he is able to produce some serious Fantasy points. This week he has one of his toughest task to date, the Colts defense has been really good against QBs this year. QBs are averaging 215 yards, 0.8 TDs & 1.4 INTs against them this year. Rivers has been good but I don’t see him producing good enough numbers against this tough matchup.

Le’Veon Bell vs. New York Jets

Quizz Rodgers and Snelling found some running room against the Jets on Monday Night Football. But the Jets still give up the 4th fewest points to RBs through 5 games. Bell looked good in his 1st matchup against the Vikings but he won’t have the same success against the Jets.

Eddie Lacy vs. Baltimore Ravens

Opposing RBs are averaging 8.8 PPG against the Ravens Run D. Lacy should be on your bench this week, only start if you really have no other options.

Nate Washington vs. Seattle Seahawks

Washington leading up to last week was on fire the last 2 games, but he laid an egg against the Chiefs. I can’t see him doing better against a tough Seahawks D. Washington belongs on the bench for this week.

Kyle Rudolph vs. Carolina Panthers

The Panthers have given up only 100 yards to tight ends this year. Rudolph hasn’t been very good this year with 3 games of 2 points or less. Sit him with no hesitation.

Houston Texans vs. St. Louis Rams

The Texans could feast on the Rams on Sunday but I think that the Rams are going to gain a lot of yards and score at least 21-24 points on this defense. I would recommend finding other options this week.

Week 1 Fantasy Football

Must Start

Andrew Luck vs. Oakland Raiders

Luck is in line for a monster season and it starts against a terrible Oakland team. They gave up an average of 355 yards per game through the air. Luck is a strong QB1 this week.

Stevan Ridley vs. Buffalo Bills

In 2 games vs. the Bills last season, Ridley rushed for 204 yards and found the endzone 3 times. The Patriots ran it 523 times last season and could run the ball even more this season. Look for Ridley to start off 2013 with a monster game.

Steven Jackson vs. New Orleans Saints

The Saints ranked 32nd against the run last year and the Falcons brought in Jackson to bring a more balanced approach to the team. Jackson will reach over 100 yards and multiple touchdowns this week.

Daryl Richardson vs. Arizona Cardinals

Richardson comes into week 1 with the starting RB job for the Rams. If he plans on keeping it for longer than one week he is going to need a big game against the Cardinals. This is a good week for him as he faces a sub-par Cards run D. Richardson will be a solid RB2/Flex and is a must start this week.

Dwayne Bowe vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

This will be the coming out party for the Smith/Bowe combination. Bowe is a must start and will be a top 5 play this week.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. New York Jets

Any team facing the Jets is a must-start every week until further notice. The Bucs are the 1st team up against them and NEED to be starting this week.

Must Sit

Sam Bradford vs. Arizona Cardinals

This week Bradford could have a really good week or a really bad week. I am not willing to take that risk.

Chris Ivory vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Bucs were the #1 ranked Run D last season and Ivory isn’t good enough to overtake that. Ivory and every other Jet should be on the bench this week.

Danny Woodhead/Ryan Matthews vs. Houston Texans

They’re facing the Texans on Monday Night Football and today will not be good for either guy. Keep them out of the lineup this week.

Torrey Smith vs. Denver Broncos

Smith will be heavily targeted because some of the injuries on D for the Broncos but I think you will be better off with Smith on the bench this week.

St. Louis Rams D vs. Arizona Cardinals

Rams D will probably finish in the top 10 to end the season but I just don’t like this start this week against the Cardinals. I think the Cards are going to come out firing and it won’t be to good for the Rams D.

Week 16 Must Start/Must Sit …….

Championship Week is upon us all, some of you the title game is next week. But for everyone it’s an important week this week. Good luck to you all.

Must Start

Matthew Stafford v.s ATL – Coming off a rough week against the Cardinals, Stafford faces a semi tough matchup. But the Falcons defense before last week gave up 275+ yards in 3 straight games against QB’s. I think they just made sure to revenge last year’s playoff blowout. So look for the him to have a nice bounce back game this weekend.

Darren McFadden v.s Car – Carolina has been good against the run the last two weeks because they have jumped out to big leads. I don’t think they do the same against the Raiders. McFadden had his 1st 100 yard game since week 8 and should have another this week. I am always cautious about teams traveling across the country to face teams. But start McFadden regardless.

Alfred Morris v.s Phi – Whether Griffin plays or not Morris is a must start. But if RGIII sits again this week, his value peaks high again. He had a season high 27 carries last week and he has 100 yards or a TD in 4 straight games. He faces a Eagles team that has given up 100 yards on the ground in 10 straight games. Love the matchup, easy must start this week.

Steven Jackson v.s TB – Facing one of the tough defenses against the run in Tampa Bay. You would think Jackson might be good on the sidelines this week. Well I think that is wrong, he will have another solid week this week. He has 19+ touches in the last 4 games and has 14 catches out of the backfield in the last 3 games.

Pierre Garcon v.s Phi – Ever since coming of the injury this guy has been money. It doesn’t matter if RGIII or Cousins is at QB, he has 32 targets in the last 3 games. He is producing and should again this week against a weak Eagles secondary.

Danny Amendola v.s TB – Can we just call him Wes Welker 2.0? Could you imagine how many receptions this guy would have if he stayed healthy all season? He is a PPR machine, easy must start whenever he is playing.

Antonio Gates v.s NYJ – Gates found the end zone for the 5th time this year late in the game last week. I look for him have a very nice game against the Bad news Bears the Jets.

Must Sit

Andrew Luck v.s KC – If you have him as an only option this week, than I believe you should start him. But if you can get your hands on another option i.e. Wilson, Freeman or Flacco. I would start them ahead of Luck this week. They are ranked 7th against the pass this year in terms of yardage. The potential for a rough week is possible.

Jonathon Dwyer v.s Cin – Terrible matchup for him this week against a Bengals team that hasn’t given up over 50 yards on the ground in 3 games. Look for other options this week that have a better upside than Dwyer.

Chris Johnson v.s GB – Green Bay hasn’t been the best on stopping the run, but I don’t think this game will be close. I think the Packers will get out in front early taking the run out of this game. So if you have better RB’s on the roster to start, I would put them in the lineup.

Bryce Brown v.s Was – He is basically Fantasy Irrelevant now that McCoy has been named starter of the Eagles. Even with possibly splitting carries he is not worth the start this week.

Josh Gordon v.s Den – The young rookie will get to meet Champ Bailey this week. Bailey is one of the best this game has seen. I believe he will make him a non-factor in this game. Making him bench able this week in all formats.

Falcons D v.s Lions – I don’t trust the Falcons D we saw last week, they will struggle against the Lions. I think the Lions will get a lot of yardage and score over 20 points. Making them a not so hot start for this week.

Those are my week 16 start/sits, any Fantasy Football Questions you can ask on here or on twitter. (@rickygangster) I’ll answer any and all questions you send leading up to game time.

Week 15 Must Start/Must Sit …….

Big Week for Fantasy Footballer’s everywhere. Most leagues are determining who will be playing in the Fantasy championship. The bragging rights that come with it are awesome. Especially if you are in a work league like I am. So Good Luck to all this weekend I hope you all win.

Must Start

Josh Freeman v.s NO – To me he is a top 8 QB option for this week. He is on fire against the Saints, 1004 yards and 7 TD’s in his 3 last games. The Saints defense hasn’t gotten any better over the last few weeks either. Only the top Tier of QB’s I would start ahead of him this week.

CJ Spiller v.s Sea – Prior to the last game against the Cardinals. The Seahawks defense had been torched back to back weeks on the ground. Look for Spiller to make it happen again, he should be getting a majority of the carries with Jackson out. I look for him to have a huge game this weekend.

Jamaal Charles v.s Oak – Charles has a string of 3 consecutive 100 yard games. The Oakland defense has a given up 100+ yards in 6 out of its last 7 games. Last time around Oakland shut him down, but was limited to 5 carries. This time around they are going to feed him the ball.

Reggie Bush v.s Jax – Bush accounted for over hundred total yards last week against the 49ers. This week he has a better matchup in the Jaguars. Who have given up over 100 yards on the ground in the last 6 games. I think he is a sage RB2/Flex play for this week.

Josh Gordon v.s Was – Gordon last week 12 targets, 8 catches for 86 yards. This week he gets a horrendous Washington Secondary. This could be a huge week for him. Must start in all leagues.

Tony Scheffler v.s Ari – With Pettigrew status not looking good for this week. Scheffler is a really nice play this week. He had 10 targets and a TD last week. Stafford likes his TE’s for sure, I think he becomes a top 10 play if Pettigrew is out this week.

Must Sit

Colin Kaepernick v.s NE – Had a very impressive 50 yards touchdown run last week. Kaepernick could be a very fun QB to watch out for in 2013. But this is not the week to start him with so much one the line. Belichick will be very prepared for him and I think he will limit him this week.

Nick Foles v.s Cin – Basing off his last start against the Bucs you would think he is a must start. Well folks you couldn’t be more wrong. The Bucs are just terrible against the pass this year. The Bengals are coming to town Thursday night. They have held all QB’s minus Peyton under 14 Fantasy Points on the season. So I wouldn’t recommend him being in the lineup this week.

Stevan Ridley v.s SF – This is going to be a slugfest on Sunday Night Football. Ridley is trying to make it 7 straight games with a TD. Against a team that rarely gives up touchdowns on the ground. I don’t see him reaching the end zone. So he should be on the bench this week.

Michael Turner v.s TB – The Bucs are among the very worst against the pass. But they are amongst the top 10 against the Run. He had only 17 yards rushing against them in week 12. But he did have a touchdown in the game. But this week, like Ridley he’s scoring streak comes to an end.

Brandon Myers v.s KC – Myers coming off a disappointing game against the Broncos. I don’t think he is going to fare much better this week against the Chiefs. They held him to 3 catches for 49 yards in their first meeting. I look for around the same numbers this week. Better options can be had this week.

Torrey Smith/Anquan Boldin v.s Den – It’s hard to judge who will draw Champ Bailey this week. But the Broncos give up the 9th fewest points to WR’s this year. With plenty of WR options out there I don’t see why these guys should be in the lineup come Sunday.

Those are my week 15 start/sits, any Fantasy Football Questions you can ask on here or on twitter. (@rickygangster) I’ll answer any and all questions you send leading up to game time.

Week 15 Fantasy Football Sleepers….

Hopefully if you are reading this you have won the 1st round of the playoffs. Congrats to you and hopefully the luck continues and you win this week as well.

Alshon Jeffery v.s GB – After a two week absence Jeffery came back to a nice 6 targets 3 catches, 57 yards and a TD. I really look for Green Bay to attempt to double team Marshall. Which could lead to Jeffery’s having a pretty good afternoon. I like him as a WR3/Flex player for this week.

Josh Gordon v.s Wash – Gordon goes into week 15 with 20 targets in his last two games. Good news for him, he is facing one of the worst pass defenses in all of football this week. I look for him to have another solid week. He is an easy WR2/Flex for this week.

Mike Williams v.s NO – He found the end zone again in week 14, totaling 7 for the season. This week he faces one of the league’s worst defenses. Although he didn’t have the best of games against New Orleans last time. I believe they will keep an extra eye on Jackson this week leaving him open for more looks.

Shonne Greene v.s TN – He has been losing some carries to Powell the last few weeks. But in Week 14 he found the end zone once again. He faces the Titans this week, who are not that great against the run. Greene should have another nice week this week. Consider him a RB2/Flex.

Montell Owens v.s Mia – An impressive 1st start for Owens this week against the Jets. 14 carries for 91 yards a TD. Of course keep an eye out for the status of Jennings & Drew. But he could very well worth the flier if he is still available. RB3/Flex play for this week.

Josh Freeman v.s NO – In his last 3 games against the Saints he has passed for 1,004 yards 7 TD’s & 0 INT’s. He had his best game of the season in week 7 against them accounting for 420 yards and 4 TD’s. He plays really well against the divisional rival. I look for him to have a really nice game this week. Making him a Top 10 QB and a fantasy QB1.

David Wilson v.s Atl – Wilson accounted for over 327 yards in week 14 blowout of the Saints. With Bradshaw hobbling around, he got 13 carries for 100 yards & 2 TD’s. This week they face an Atlanta team that just gave up 195 yards on the ground to the Panthers. The status of Bradshaw makes Wilson’s value go up or down. But is a solid Flex if Bradshaw plays and a RB1/RB2 if he sits.

Rod Streater v.s KC – 11 targets, 7 catches, 196 yards & a TD are his stats over the last two games. I think he has a favorable matchup in deeper leagues. Look at him as a WR3/Possibly Flex play.
Those are my Week 15 sleepers, I will be posting my start/sits later this week.. Any thoughts or questions feel free to comment below or contact me on Twitter.(@rickygangster)

Week 14 Must Start/Must Sit …….

Very important week for Fantasy owners everywhere. Its playoff time, so I will help out and show you who you should and shouldn’t start for week 14.

Must Start

Brandon Myers v.s Den – Had an amazing game last week and this week should be good as well. Denver is one of the worst teams in football defending against the TE. He has at least 5 catches in each of his last 5 games. He also has 4 touchdowns in that span as well. Myers has been easily been one of the better Fantasy Waiver pickups of the 2012 season.

Mikel Leshoure v.s GB – 3 straight games in which GB defense has given up over 100 yards rushing. Also 3 straight games that Leshoure has scored a TD. He had 84 yards and a TD in his week 11 game against GB. I believe he is one of the safest options at RB this week.

Demarco Murray v.s Cin – Murray showed Fantasy owners that hung on to him what they were missing. He came back with 83 yards(should’ve been 94 but lost 11 on his last run) a TD & also registered 4 catches as well. He does have a tough matchup in the Bengals this week, but this guy should be started in any and all formats.

Pierre Garcon v.s Bal – Baltimore D hasn’t been as good as they have been in years past. They have shown they can be thrown on as well. Garcon is RGIII favorite target, totaling 17 in the last two games. He should be targeted pretty heavily in this battle of two potential playoff teams.

Matt Schuab v.s NE – I think this is the biggest game of Matt Schaub’s career. This is the game he should step up and play really well. He is playing a NE Secondary that has gotten better over the past few weeks. But we all know that they can be thrown on. He as of late has been throwing pretty darn well. He has 8 touchdowns in the last 3 games and should propel to another multi TD game this week.

BenJarvus Green-Ellis v.s Dal – Dallas D has given up over 100 yards rushing in 6 of the last 7 games. Green-Ellis has a nice string of 3 consecutive games with 100 yards rushing as well. This is a great matchup for him and should be a very solid RB1/RB2 this week.

Must Sit

Colin Kaepernick v.s Mia – Teams are averaging only 176 yards through the air the last 4 games against Miami’s D. Kaepernick has been good but not great Fantasy wise so far. I don’t look for him to have that great of the game this week either. I see a bunch of other options worth starting over him.

Larry Fitzgerald v.s Sea – A great player like this shouldn’t have to suffer the misery he has since Kurt Warner has retired. He has 26 targets in his last 3 games and only 5 catches to show for it. The balls are just not getting to him and with a tough matchup this week. You got to sit him, I know he is a stud but this year he has been far from it.

Antonio Gates v.s Pitt – This has been a very disappointing season for Gates owners this year. While he has been healthy most of the year his stats haven’t really warranted the high draft pick everyone spent on him. He draws a tough matchup this week and you should find other options.(Tamme, Clark, & Bennett)

Alex Green v.s Det – Even with Starks out for the season, I do not like Green at all. Green wasn’t very productive in his time as a starter. The team also just signed Ryan Grant back as well. He is not worth picking up or starting in any format unless it’s a 20 team league.

Any and all multiple RB situations – Its playoff time folks no need to hope a RB from NO, AZ, JAX & Car to maybe get a TD. Get the guys who you know are going to get you 15-20 carries and help you win a playoff game.

Those are my week 14 start/sits, any Fantasy Football Questions you can ask on here or on twitter. (@rickygangster) I’ll answer any and all questions you send leading up to game time.

Week 13 Must Start/Must Sit …….

This could be a swing game for most of you this weekend, whether or not you make the playoffs. So good luck to all of you out there and I hope this helps you out.

Must Start

Chris Johnson v.s Hou – CJ has 80+ yards in each of his last 6 games. Johnson broke out of his early season slump against the Texans going for 141 yards on the ground. Yes a lot of those yards were on garbage time. But if you are a Fantasy owner, who really cares right? Look for him to have another good game this weekend against the Texans.

Owen Daniels v.s TN – One of the game’s best TE’s taking on one of the worst teams at defending the position. 8+ targets in his last four games and has touchdowns in 3 out of his last 4 games. Should be a top TE option for week 13.

Stevan Ridley v.s Mia – The Dolphins Run D have given up 96+ yards on the ground to teams over the last 6 weeks. Ridley has been tearing it up as of late with a touchdown in each of the last 4 games. Look for him to have another good week before back to back tough matchups.

Brian Hartline v.s NE – Hartline has been an on again and off again WR this year. But I think this week in a game which they could be playing from behind all game. He should see plenty of targets this week. Which should result into him getting some solid production.

Andy Dalton v.s SD – I really like the Red Rifle and this team a lot. They have a ton of talent on the offense side of the ball. Look for him to make it 4 games in a row with multiple touchdowns against the Chargers.

Knowshon Moreno v.s TB – Much to the surprise to just about everyone, Moreno got the start last week. Looked pretty good as well going for 85 yards on 20 carries. He has another nice matchup against the Bucs this week. Look for him to have another solid game this week.

Must Sit

Carson Palmer v.s Cle – Palmer has been trending down as of late. He has a tough matchup this week in the Browns. Whose defense has stepped up the last few weeks. They have forced 9 turnovers and have 8 sacks in there last two games. I look for them to pressure Palmer this week. I would look for other options at QB this week.

Green Bay RB’s v.s Min – I really don’t like Starks or Green at all. Fantasy owners should not either. There are plenty of other option that could be had than worrying about hoping for points from these guys.

Mike Wallace v.s Balt – Wow is this a true sad story of such a great WR. 22 Targets over the last 3 weeks totaling 8 catches for 47 yards and a TD(a fumble as well). Charlie Batch couldn’t get the ball anywhere near him last week. Even if somehow Big Ben plays this week find other options at WR.

Vincent Jackson v.s Den – In 12 meetings against the Broncos, Jackson has yet to get over a 100 yards. On top of that has been held to under 56 yards in 7 of those meetings. He will be shadowed by one of the best in Champ Bailey again this weekend. I know he is a stud, but with the Playoffs on the line. You might want to look elsewhere for a WR.

Fred Jackson v.s Jax – He had only 7 total touches in week 12 and didn’t produce much with them. Gailey came out and said that it would be a 60/40 split and Fjax getting the Goal-line carries. But I am not sure I would trust that. Spiller has had the hot hand and I look for him to continue to get the ball over him.
