The bye weeks are gone and everyone should be full speed heading into the playoff chase. Some really talented players injured this past week, so starting the right guy is very important to making the playoffs.
Must Starts
Danario Alexander v.s Bal – I think the Ravens secondary is still a bit questionable. Also with Ed Reed possibly out for this game. Alexander who in past three games has 15 catches 291 yards & 3 TD’s. Will see a lot of targets his way this week.
Hakeem Nicks v.s GB – Nicks came out this week and said he was 100% healthy. Nicks had a 9 catch 75 yard performance against the Bengals. He was targeted a team high 14 times in that game. He is the #1 WR for this team and in a favorable matchup is a Must start this week.
BenJarvus Green-Ellis v.s Oak – I really liked him last week and do again this week. He has had 15+ in every game over the last few weeks. Oakland’s run D is terrible and BJGE should have a field day on Sunday.
Harry Douglas v.s TB – Keep an eye out on Julio Jones status for the week. If Jones is out this week, Douglas is a Must start. I even like him if Jones does play. The Bucs defense can’t stop the pass period. Douglas has 13 targets over the last two games.
Lance Moore v.s SF – Pretty much known that Moore is more of an indoor guy. This week he draws a tough matchup in the 49ers. But do not let that shy away from starting him this week. Brees will get him the ball this week.
Must Sit
Shonne Greene v.s NE – The Patriots Run D is 10th best in the NFL this year. Had a very nice game against the Patriots in week 7. But most of that was based on his 6 catches. I look for Powell to take some carries away from his as well.
Chad Henne v.s TN – Let’s not get crazy kids, Henne is not Dan Marino. Even though he has a favorable matchup, he is just not reliable. I don’t care who you got at QB, I promise you can find better options.
Browns WR’s v.s Pitt – Outside of Boldin in week 11, Pittsburgh shut down the Ravens receiving core. I do not seeing that changing this week. Gordon & Little will get the targets, but I don’t see the production worth starting.
Dwayne Bowe v.s Den – I really feel bad for this guy, could you imagine him with a good QB.(Andrew Luck anyone?) Even with the injury, if he starts Bowe will for sure get Champ this week. So I don’t see much production coming from him this week.
Reggie Bush/Daniel Thomas v.s Sea – Neither one of these guys is worth a start this week. They are going against a tough Seattle D. Both struggled against a terrible Bills run D. So make sure to find suitable replacements.
