Very important week for Fantasy owners everywhere. Its playoff time, so I will help out and show you who you should and shouldn’t start for week 14.
Must Start
Brandon Myers v.s Den – Had an amazing game last week and this week should be good as well. Denver is one of the worst teams in football defending against the TE. He has at least 5 catches in each of his last 5 games. He also has 4 touchdowns in that span as well. Myers has been easily been one of the better Fantasy Waiver pickups of the 2012 season.
Mikel Leshoure v.s GB – 3 straight games in which GB defense has given up over 100 yards rushing. Also 3 straight games that Leshoure has scored a TD. He had 84 yards and a TD in his week 11 game against GB. I believe he is one of the safest options at RB this week.
Demarco Murray v.s Cin – Murray showed Fantasy owners that hung on to him what they were missing. He came back with 83 yards(should’ve been 94 but lost 11 on his last run) a TD & also registered 4 catches as well. He does have a tough matchup in the Bengals this week, but this guy should be started in any and all formats.
Pierre Garcon v.s Bal – Baltimore D hasn’t been as good as they have been in years past. They have shown they can be thrown on as well. Garcon is RGIII favorite target, totaling 17 in the last two games. He should be targeted pretty heavily in this battle of two potential playoff teams.
Matt Schuab v.s NE – I think this is the biggest game of Matt Schaub’s career. This is the game he should step up and play really well. He is playing a NE Secondary that has gotten better over the past few weeks. But we all know that they can be thrown on. He as of late has been throwing pretty darn well. He has 8 touchdowns in the last 3 games and should propel to another multi TD game this week.
BenJarvus Green-Ellis v.s Dal – Dallas D has given up over 100 yards rushing in 6 of the last 7 games. Green-Ellis has a nice string of 3 consecutive games with 100 yards rushing as well. This is a great matchup for him and should be a very solid RB1/RB2 this week.
Must Sit
Colin Kaepernick v.s Mia – Teams are averaging only 176 yards through the air the last 4 games against Miami’s D. Kaepernick has been good but not great Fantasy wise so far. I don’t look for him to have that great of the game this week either. I see a bunch of other options worth starting over him.
Larry Fitzgerald v.s Sea – A great player like this shouldn’t have to suffer the misery he has since Kurt Warner has retired. He has 26 targets in his last 3 games and only 5 catches to show for it. The balls are just not getting to him and with a tough matchup this week. You got to sit him, I know he is a stud but this year he has been far from it.
Antonio Gates v.s Pitt – This has been a very disappointing season for Gates owners this year. While he has been healthy most of the year his stats haven’t really warranted the high draft pick everyone spent on him. He draws a tough matchup this week and you should find other options.(Tamme, Clark, & Bennett)
Alex Green v.s Det – Even with Starks out for the season, I do not like Green at all. Green wasn’t very productive in his time as a starter. The team also just signed Ryan Grant back as well. He is not worth picking up or starting in any format unless it’s a 20 team league.
Any and all multiple RB situations – Its playoff time folks no need to hope a RB from NO, AZ, JAX & Car to maybe get a TD. Get the guys who you know are going to get you 15-20 carries and help you win a playoff game.
