Welcome to another edition of the “The Valero Verdict” TV review. In this I will give you a quick movie review with a couple of bullet points of which I either liked or disliked. I will end the review with rating of the TV show and a short overall thoughts.

On the docket today, Big Little Lies. The HBO show based on the book (of the same name) starring Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon and Shailene Woodley.

• The acting in this was damn near perfect. This cast is loaded with star after star and it didn’t disappoint either.
  Reese Witherspoon is easily my favorite of them all, just her entire demeanor in this roles was great, from charming to witty to sarcastic to crazy, she was just perfect.

• The twist and turns throughout the entire show kept you guessing (outside of one of the big time twist, I called that one early). It would zig instead of zag and its a rare art that isn’t found on TV shows anymore.

• Alexander Skarsgard is just ruthless in this show. He had to play such an awful human-being and he just knocked it out of the park. From his facial expressions to the way he would walk and talk, it just blew me away with how he was able to just play this massive villain.

• I can’t get over the fact how beautiful this show is. Yves Belanger paints this just breathtaking landscape and extenuates the show in such beautiful way.

The Verdict:

This is hands down 7 of the best episodes of television I have watched in a long time. There were some fantastic twist and turns, and just an insane amount of thing happen in these episodes and every single thing made sense. I tackled above just two of what was a loaded cast of fantastic acting. The directing, the cinematography, the absolutely beautiful ocean backdrop, I truly can’t find one thing I didn’t like about this show. Just a job well done from everyone involved in this show.

Should You Watch it?: ABSOLUTELY!!!!!! Star-studded cast. It’s funny. It’s crazy. It’s insane. It’s seven of the best episodes of TV you will watch and you will be ready for season 2 (which is currently playing)
