The Sports Script NBA Daily Plays for 1/22

What’s up everyone? We’ve got a Wednesday slate loaded with 10 games for us to choose from. There are plenty of studs in action to choose from and I just get the feeling it could be a really fun night of fantasy basketball. That being said let’s take a look at who I will be targeting on Wednesday.

THE STUDS

Kevin Durant is always in play and if you need me to tell you that then just stop reading and safe your money on fantasy basketball.

Carmelo Anthony is becoming one of my favorite fantasy plays right now while grabbing some time at the 4 spot in the line up. He’s grabbed double-digit rebounds in the last two games while getting that time. He’s also matched up with the fantasy goodness that we know as the 76ers.

Demarcus Cousins is now match up proof in my book, but with his high price tag and Dwight Howard on the other side stealing some rebounds I won’t be paying up for him. I’m still listing him because I can’t argue if you make the decision to play him.

NOW ONTO THE REST OF THE PLAYS

James Harden was always a guy I felt was just to inconsistent to play, but he’s been over 30 fantasy points in the last 10 games. He’s also got a ton of upside with one of the highest ceilings you can get in a fantasy player if he gets hot from the floor.

John Wall will be in play for me with Avery Bradley getting hurt during Tuesdays game. Wall will be at home where he has shot 5% better this year and he’s been really consistent going over 40 fantasy points in 5 of his last 6 games.

Brandon Knight will be on my radar for Wednesday in some games with a match up with the Pistons. The pistons are giving up 105 ppg over the last 10 games and Knight has been leading the Bucks in scoring. Knight has taken at least 16 shots in the last 3 games and if he can do that for us on Wednesday he should be a sure bet to hit value.

Josh Smith is a guy that comes with a huge warning sign and before I even tell you about him make sure you do not use him in any kind of cash game. Smoove, however has a nice match up with a Bucks team that’s 22nd against opposing SF’s and has had better numbers at home this year. He’s averaging 30 fantasy points a game this year against the Bucks and could very well go over that if he decides to play instead of take the night off.

Andre Drummond is averaging close to 13 rebounds per game and is now matched up with a Bucks team that is 25 in the league in rebounding. I could see Drummond having one of his 20 rebound games on Wednesday. Drummond can fill up the stat sheet for the Pistons which can lead to a huge fantasy advantage  if you roster him Wednesday.

Paul Millsap should have his way with the Magic front court as I don’t expect Vucevic to be back in action for this one. The Magic are 25th against opposing PF’s and 28th in rebounding over there last 10 games. Millsap is a sure bet to play over 30 minutes in this game and has a pretty high ceiling.

AND THE VALUE GUYS TO FIT THE STUDS

D.J. Augustin won’t be a cheap play on all the sites you come across, but he’s going to be a starter now with Hinrich not making the trip for Wednesdays game. This opens up a high ceiling on Augustin as he’s one of the only real scorers the Bulls have now. He’s went over 40 fantasy points in his last two games as a back up and now is matched up with Kyrie Irving who is one of the worst defenders in the league as a starter.

Ramon Sessions if he’s cheap is a guy you can use with the assurance he’s going to play more than 35 minutes as a starter. He’s shooting 45% at home this year  as opposed to 38% on the road which helps me in making the decision that he can hit value against the Clippers. Sessions has went over 20 fantasy points in each of the last two games.

Tyson Chandler is not the cheapest of players in the value section that we would like to see, but I like his situation on Wednesday. The 76ers are worst against opposing centers and 27th in rebounding over the last 10. Chandler is locked into 35 minutes or more right now and if his price is decent then he could be an easy value in this one.
