Week 1 Fantasy Football Sleepers

The season has started and I am back to giving you my weekly Fantasy Football Sleepers. Week 1 is always a struggle in deciding whom to start with my 2nd & 3rd tier guys. Here are 5 guys that I believe that if they’re on your roster, you should be playing them the first week.

Week 1 Fantasy Sleepers

Alex Smith vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

Smith had a 111.3 rating (6 TDs & 1 INT) on the road last season. He faces a Jaguars team that is going to be in the running for a top 5 pick in 2014. Smith should have no problem throwing for 250+ yards and multiple touchdown passes, which would make him a solid QB1 this week.

Darren McFadden vs. Indianapolis Colts

We have all seen what a healthy McFadden can do. He faces a Colts run D that gave up 137.5 yards per game last season. The Raiders are going to have to rely on the run with inexperienced Pryor at QB. McFadden will pull good enough numbers for him to be a top 20 back this week.

DeSean Jackson vs. Washington Redskins

The Redskins secondary was among the worst in football last season. Chip Kelly is going to bring his new offense to Monday Night Football and I look for him to use Michael Vick’s arm to expose the Redskins secondary. Jackson could be a really solid WR2/Flex play today.

T.Y. Hilton vs. Oakland Raiders

The Luck/Hilton combo was really nice last season and think with time they are only going to get better. The Raiders may very well be the worst team in football. They weren’t very good against the pass last year and they didn’t improve much over the offseason. TY would be a great play this weekend against them.

Zach Sudfeld vs. Buffalo Bills

With Gronkowski in limbo for the first few weeks of the season Sudfeld should see plenty targets this week in Buffalo. He is a big target (6’7) in the Red Zone and should have no problem putting up TE1 numbers in week 1.
