Here we got a 4 game slate for this Tuesday, but boy is it interesting! I usually don’t play anything with 3 or fewer games so with 4 I’m going to be all over the action. This is going to be a tricky night with picking players a I feel with a couple of studs in action and the hard nose Pacers defense. I’m going to go on and predict it to be a low scoring night in the NBA with only 4 games with Memphis and Indiana in action. Let’s take a look at the guys I’m targeting for Tuesday.
*MONDAY GAME STATS ARE NOT INCLUDED IN NUMBERS FOR THIS ARTICLE*
THE ELITE STUDS
Carmelo Anthony – Melo is going to take a slight hit to his production if Chandler returns to action which is very possible for Tuesday. Melo is still a top play, but if his price has gotten extremely high then be careful playing him as you might want to spend the salary in other spots.
Kevin Durant – I don’t care about the match up or who’s guarding him he’s best player in the NBA when it comes down to fantasy options.
Paul George – He’s always got the potential to put up the highest fantasy point total of the night, but he’s also got the potential to post a fantasy dud. He’s got a prime match up with Sacramento who ranks towards the bottoms in stopping opposing PF’s.
NOW ONTO THE REST OF THE PLAYS
Mike Conley is not a guy you’re going to want to sleep on Tuesday. He’s had 3 of his best games now in a row and has become one of primary scorers on the Grizzlies. He’s posted fantasy point totals of 52, 42, and 48. Conley is shooting 49% at home this year as opposed to 40% on the road and putting up a full 5 points per game more at home.
Demarcus Cousins has on paper the worst match up possible for a center, so I would avoid for sure if it’s a cash game. That being said though Cousins might be the best center in the NBA right now and could still have a huge game that could give you a leg up in GPP’s.
Anderson Varejao is going to be one of my most rostered guys on Tuesday especially if Pau Gasol doesn’t go. The Lakers are already one of the worst teams at defending the interior and without Gasol he should have no problem posting a double double on Tuesday.
AND THE VALUE GUYS TO FIT THE STUDS
Kendall Marshall is a decent play on sites where he is cheap on Tuesday. The Cavaliers do not defend the point very well as Kyrie is more interested in playing on the offensive side of the ball. Kendall is a lock for 35 minutes of action on Tuesday and should be able to post a floor of 20 fantasy points at least in this one.
Jody Meeks only shot 20% last game on 10 shots putting up his lowest fantasy point total in the previous 5 games. He’s in play for sure on Tuesday against a Cleveland team that does not defend well.
Courtney Lee is an interesting value play if Tony Allen is still out as he’s providing some tremendous upside for the Grizzlies right now. He’s really embracing his role with his new teams and playing over 25 minutes per game over the last 3 games.
NOTES
Pau Gasol has been banged up yet again this season and was scheduled to have an MRI on Monday. I’m probably just going to fade him most of my games, but keep an eye on his status as there could be some value from the situation if he sits out.
