Fantasy Football Week 7 Sleepers

Week 6 is in the books and we had some great guys go off Cam Newton (272 yards & 4 TDs), Knowshon Moreno (104 yards & 3 TDs) & Vernon Davis (8/180/2). We also had the likes of Tony Romo (8 Points), Le’Veon Bell (4 Points) & Dez Bryant (3 Points). This week we have the Oakland Raiders and the New Orleans Saints on a bye, which means some heavy hitters are off this week. Before I dive into my week 7 sleepers, let’s take a look at how my week 6 sleepers performed.

Sleepers I hit

Jay Cutler – He threw for 262 yards and 2 touchdowns and he also ran for 20 yards on the ground
Joe Flacco – He torched the Packers secondary for 342 yards and 2 TDs, a lost fumble hurt but he was good enough this week.
DeAngelo Williams – He totaled 117 yards against the Vikings D, was just lacking a TD score to have great game.
Giovanni Bernard – Every time this guy touches the ball it could go to the house. He took a 20-yard Dalton pass for 6 and totaled exactly 100 yards of offense.
T.Y. Hilton –
Carolina D – Gave up only 10 points and record 3 sacks and forced 3 turnovers.

Sleepers I missed

DeAndre Hopkins – Terrible outing for the team but Hopkins with only 47 yards and he lost a fumble.
TE Combination for the Redskins – Reed started off hot with 58 yards receiving but was quiet after that, which was disappointing in a great matchup.

Week 7 Fantasy Football Sleepers

Nick Foles vs. Dallas Cowboys

The Bucs were only giving up 12 PPG to Fantasy QBs this season as well as holding them to 5 TDs and forcing 6 INTs. Foles torched them for 296 yards and 3 total TDs. The Cowboys D did a good job last week against RGIII but they still are giving up an average of 24 PPG to Fantasy QBs. The Eagles bring a whole different arsenal than the Redskins do, Foles should start this week regardless of Vick being healthy or not. But if Vick does start I would consider him a sleeper start this week as well.

Chad Henne vs. San Diego Chargers

Henne moved the ball up and down the field on the Broncos but just couldn’t get the team into the endzone. He should be the starting QB for this team movie forward. He has a great matchup against a Chargers team that have given up 10 TDs to only 1 INT (Prior to Colts Matchup) to QBs this season. Henne will put up solid Fantasy #’s and if you are looking for a bye week replacement for Drew Brees, he could be a guy that will produce for you.

Brandon Jacobs vs. Minnesota Vikings

Wow that’s a name that I never thought I would see on my list. Mike Tolbert gave the Vikings a real hard time last week and Jacobs is another version of Tolbert, a big back that will just straight run you over. He rushed for 106 yards and 2 TDs in his first start in well over a year. I look for Jacobs to shine in the bright lights of Monday Night Football this week, pick him up if you can and get him in the starting lineup.

Stevan Ridley vs. New York Jets

Le’Veon Bell was shut down by the Jets this week and they have been really tough against the run this year but I think with the Patriots have more weapons at their disposal than the Steelers do. With the chance that Gronkowski starts this week, Ridley would be more enticing but it looks like may have won his job back. He had 101 total yards and 2 TDs against the Saints and will be a great option this week and moving forward.

Terrence Williams vs. Philadelphia Eagles

We all know every team keys in on Dez Bryant and there is no reason to think that the Eagles won’t do the same. Williams has scored a touchdown in 2 straight games and I think he will make it 3 straight. Solid Sleeper WR3 this week and even a decent flex play.

Reggie Wayne vs. Denver Broncos

Broncos secondary just hasn’t been good and Blackmon just torched them for 14 catches for 190 yards. Wayne will be a key player and someone Luck is going to have to use early and often if they plan on matching the Broncos score for score.

Scott Chandler vs. Miami Dolphins

Chandler caught his 2nd touchdown of the season in week 6. He has seen 6 targets in 4 of 6 games this year; the Dolphins are having a nightmare season against TEs. They have given up 6 TDs in 5 games, with Jimmy Graham on a bye; Chandler will be a nice replacement for him this week.

Carolina Panthers vs. St. Louis Rams

I am not sure how many more times I can put them on the Sleeper list before people realize they are a good defense. They are ranked 4th against the run and 7th against the pass. They have 15 sacks, 8 INTs & 4 forced fumbles. I like them to shut down the Rams this week and have another solid Fantasy week.
